1. Determine your client’s existing base level. If there are several levels, decide which one should be the base level. 2. Select the required shade from the Elumen shade chart. 3. If you do not want to mix different Elumen shades, apply the color directly from the Elumen color bottle. Use the special Elumen applicator comb to ensure even color distribution and minimum staining of the scalp. If you are treating long or curly hair, we recommend the use of the Elumen applicator nozzle for the lengths and ends. If you are mixing shades, use the Elumen applicator bottle with the comb and nozzle. Please note: use the nozzle when you are shaking the color mixture.

4. Apply Elumen to clean and dry hair . Short Hair: approx. 60 ml Midlength Hair: approx. 80 ml Long Hair: approx. 120 ml If the hair is very oily or shows a high styling product residue, shampoo and dry prior to applying Elumen. If staining occurs, remove them immediately using Elumen Clean. 5. Leave to process for 20 minutes with heat. Alternatively, leave for 30 minutes without heat.

6. Rinse thoroughly without massaging or emulsifying. (Wear protective gloves!). 7. Shampoo twice, rinse and towel dry thoroughly. 8. Apply approximately 40 ml of Elumen Lock to towel dried hair and distribute evenly using a wide toothed comb. Leave to process for 5 minutes. Lock completes the Elumen application. 9. Rinse and style as desired.
