Step 1

Divide the hair of the larger section into smaller sub-sections.

Step 2

Establish the width of 1cm-1.5cm using the outer teeth of the applicator comb.

Step 3

Place the applicator comb flat against the scalp and dispense an appropriate amount of color according to the density of the hair. Pull the comb through the hair distributing color by applying gentle pressure on the Elumen bottle.

Please note

Hold the sections taught at a 90 degree angle to the head. Do not squeeze the bottle too hard, especially when you are working close to the scalp area, as too much color will stain the scalp and skin.

Step 4

Securely hold the colored strands while you are working on the next one, or gently place them onto the head.

Step 5

Keep working in this way until all stands in one section are colored. Please note: For fine hair at the contours, apply Elumen with a non-acrylic all purpose comb.

Step 6

Once a complete section has been colored, gather it at the centre and secure with clips. Please note: If the hair is longer than 15 cm, twist it into a loop and secure it angled away from the scalp.
